It is with great sadness that the Area announces the death of Mick Leigh, 9th Dan and President of the Southern Area.
Mick has been a stalwart and well respected member of the Area and British Judo throughout his lifetime, setting up the Area and Sussex County, as well as founding Kin Ryu and Brighton Judo Clubs (see the about us pages on the Area website for a brief history of Mick).
Mick will be sorely missed by the judo community.
Our thoughts are with Steph and the rest of the family at this time.
