Southern Area Open – Minors and Seniors (Ranking)
General information:
- All Competitors must present a valid BJA licence or a BJA affiliated association licence at the weigh-in together with proof of grade.
- Depending on number of entrants, the method of competition will either be pools, pools to knockout or compound knockout.
- Weigh in will be in t-shirt and judogi trousers with an allowance of 0.8kg.
- Current BJA rules apply.
- Medals will be presented at the end of each category.
- All competitors must wear suitable footwear when of the mat.
- Only mat side qualified coaches with a valid card will be allowed mat side.
- Videos and photographs may be taken on the day and used in publicity.
In the event of any dispute either on or off the mat, the decision of the Tournament Director will be final.
MINIMUM GRADE: MINORS – 4th Mon (yellow belt) SENIORS 7th Mon / 4th Kyu (orange belt)
Group A Minors Boys – Born 2013 to 2016 (must be 8 on day of event)
u27kg, u30kg, u34kg, u38kg, u42kg, u46kg, u50kg, o50kg
Group B Minors Girls – Born 2013 to 2016 (must be 8 on day of event)
u28kg, u32kg, u36kg, u40kg, u44kg, u48kg, o48kg
Minors weigh in 0830-0915
BJA technical restrictions will apply. No armlocks or strangles are allowed. Contest time 3 minutes with 3 minute golden score.
Group C Senior Men (minimum age 14 years)
u60kg; u66kg; u73kg; u81kg; u90kg; u100kg; o100kg
Group D Senior Women (minimum age 14 years)
u48kg; u52kg; u57kg u63kg; u70kg; u78kg; o78kg
Senior weigh in 1230-1315
Full BJA rules apply. Contest time 4 minutes with unlimited golden score.
Entry Fee: £25 for a single category. £40 for double entry (Cadets & Juniors, Juniors & Seniors)
Spectators and Car Parking: Parking charges apply on Saturdays. Spectators are free.
