Kent u16 split and restricted grade & Senior Kyu grade Open
All competitors must hold and present a valid BJA or BJA affiliated association licence and proof of grade at the weigh in.
Categories
8 to 15 years of age on the date of the competition
Group A: Boys Novice to Yellow Belt, age 8 to 11 years
Group B: Girls Novice to Yellow Belt, age 8 to 11 years
Group E: Boys Novice to Yellow Belt, age 12-15 years
Group F: Girls Novice to Yellow Belt, age 12-15 years
Group C: Boys Orange and Green Belt, age 8-15 years
Group D: Girls Orange and Green Belt, age 8-15 years
Competitors in Groups A & B must have graded within 9 months of the competition date and novices taken out their licence during this time. Technical restrictions will apply to these groups.
No armlocks or strangles in any of the above categories.
Entrants will be put into contest pools of up to 5 competitors according to weight.
All competitors in groups A to F will receive a medal.
Please ensure the competitors weight is given when entering.
Weigh-in times: Groups A, B, E & F, – 8.15 am to 9.00 am
Groups C and D – 11.00 to 11.30 am
All players must weigh in with white T-shirt and judo trousers – a 0.8kg allowance will be given
Senior Kyu Grades – Minimum age 14 years on date of competition
Group G: Men: Brown Belt, 1st Kyu. POINT SCORING
Group H: Women, Brown Belt, 1st Kyu. POINT SCORING
Group I : Women, Novice to Blue Belt, Nov. to 2nd Kyu
Group J: Men, Green and Blue Belt, 3rd and 2nd Kyu
Group K: Men, Novice to Orange Belt, Nov – 4 Kyu
Men’s weight categories in groups G, J & K – U60, U66, U73, U81, U90, U100, +100
Women’s contest groups will be sorted on the day
Method of senior competition: 7 and under players – pools, 8 and above – Compound knockout
4 Medals will be awarded in each weight category
Weigh-in Times: Groups G, H & I – 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm
Groups J & K – 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm
Additional Information:
- Current BJA rules apply
- Medals will be presented throughout the day
- All competitors must always wear suitable footwear when off the mat
- Only matside qualified coaches with a valid card will be allowed matside
- Coaching will be allowed throughout the contests
- Videos and photographs may be taken on the day and used to advertise the event

These policies and codes of conduct are in place to ensure everyone attending the event have a good experience.
The organiser reserves the right to refuse entries and to combine any weight group should it be necessary. In the event of a dispute either on or off the mat the Tournament Directors decision is FINAL.

Spectators and Car Parking: Free – Car registration numbers must be put into the machine at reception
No refunds will be given unless the competition is cancelled or there is no-one for a competitor to compete against.
