British Masters
Event information
This is a Level 3 point scoring event.
BJA rules will apply throughout the event and will be in accordance with the Tournament Handbook.
The method of competition will be Pools or Compound Knockout.
Medals will be presented after the finals
The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate adjacent weight/age categories depending on the number of entries in the respective categories.
The wearing of white & blue judogi is not compulsory for this event, but if you have a blue suit you must also have a white suit. Backpatches may be worn but must be official EJU/IJF back number with name and country. Back patches can be ordered from www.mybacknumber.com
In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Tournament Director will be final.
By entering the event, all participants and parents or guardians of participants are consenting to photography/filming which may be taken by the host organisation/ BJA or an official contractor at the event. You also accept that these photographs or video may be used in future host organisation /BJA publications or published by the contractors. Venue Information
Surrey Sports Park is well served with good road links and access from the A3. Guildford mainline rail station is a fifteen minute walk from the venue with Gatwick and Heathrow airports less than an hour drive away. There are several hotels nearby with the Holiday Inn next door to the venue. Surrey Sports Park has a Starbucks coffee shop and the Bench Bar that opens at 1200 serving hot food.
Categories and weigh in
Contest times will be 3 minutes for categories M1/F1 to M6/F6 and 2.5 minutes for M7/F7 and above with a one minute golden score.

Categories M1 to M3: 1000 to 1045
Categories M4 to M9: 1200 to 1230
All Women’s categories: 1330 to 1400

NOTE – IJF rules are no shimewza allowed for M/F7 upwards. This has not yet been implemented by the BJA. Any decision to do so will be communicated.
