Southern Area Adaptive Open
Eligibility:
Competitors must be a minimum of 8 years old. There is no upper age limit.
All Competitors must present a valid judo licence from their association at registration together with proof of grade.
NO CURRENT VALID LICENCE = NO CONTEST = NO EXCEPTIONS
Information:
Method of competition will be pools throughout.
Current BJA adaptive rules apply.
All competitors must wear suitable footwear at all times when off the mat.
All players to wear white Judogi and, where possible, provide their own blue and white belts.
Medals will be presented at the end of the event.
In the event of any dispute either on or off the mat, the decision of the Tournament Director will be final.
Registration: 0930 to 1000
Divisioning:
Divisioning will take place after registration in line with the following guidelines.
Please indicate the level of the competitor on the entry form.
LEVEL 1
This Judoka can train and compete with mainstream players and has a good understanding of the meaning and goal of the competition.
LEVEL 2
This Judoka can train and take part in Randori with mainstream players and mostly understands the meaning and goal of the competition.
LEVEL 3
This Judoka understands the rules, meaning, and goal of the competition and can train with mainstream players, but only competes in special competitions with competitors of the same level.
LEVEL 4
This Judoka may only be capable of taking part in special training and competitions, needs guiding during the competition, but generally understands the rules and goal of a competition.
LEVEL 5
This Judoka may only be capable of taking part in special training and competitions, with specialist care and needs a lot of guidance during the competition. The competition might need to be adjusted to the competitors. Due to safety considerations, this Judoka may be restricted to compete only on the ground.
