Dear Southern Area Member Clubs
The 2023 Southern Area Annual General Meeting will take place on Friday 26th May in Meeting Room 2 at K2 Crawley leisure centre, Pease Pottage Hill, Crawley RH11 9BQ. The meeting will start at 7 pm, with booking in from 6.45 pm.
The minutes of the 2022 AGM and all other documentation will be available from the Documents page of the Southern Area website. The agenda and committee reports will be posted in the ‘SA AGM Papers’ section of the website no later than Friday 19th May.
Nominations are sought for the following elected Executive Officer positions:
Chair (four‐year term)
Vice‐chair (three‐year term*)
Secretary (two‐year term*)
*Term lengths are staggered according to the usual cycle of elections to ensure continuity on the Committee.
The role descriptions for these positions can be found on the Southern Area website. Nominations can only be made by a Member Club and seconded by another Member Club and must be received no later than Friday 12th May. Nominations for Chair and Vice‐chair must also include a short judo‐specific CV and outline of priorities for the Area if appointed. Please send nominations to the

Any resolutions from Member Clubs to be considered at the AGM must also be received by the Committee no later than Friday 12th May.
Each Member Club is entitled to one vote at the AGM. If the person carrying the vote is not the club secretary or chair, please complete the proxy voting form (available on the website) and send this to the Committee no later than Friday 19th May.
