DESCRIPTION:A competitive Dan grade theory course for players 1st Kyu to 4th Dan  will take place on Sunday 11th February 2024 at Croydon Judo Club. The course will be run by Dave Stanley, 7th Dan – Senior Examiner, John Malkinson, 5th Dan – Senior Examiner, Kata Examiner and James Lewis, 3rd Dan – Trainee Senior Examiner\n10:00 to 17:00 booking-in 0930\n£30.00 per day\nOnline booking only – https://www.participant.co.uk/SouthernAreaJudo/event/competitive_dan_grade_theory_course#/init ( https://www.participant.co.uk/SouthernAreaJudo/event/competitive_dan_grade_theory_course#/init )\nClosing date for online registration: Tuesday 6th February 2024. No bookings will be taken after this date.\nThis practical mat-based course is suitable for players graded 1st Kyu to 4th Dan preparing for competitive Dan grade theory assessment. Competitive skills theory examinations will be conducted at the end of the course. If you are interested in completing an examination for 3rd Dan or above on the day,  please contact the organisers ahead of time.\nPlease bring a pen and notebook, zori and a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be available. Food is also available for purchase locally (5 min walk from the venue).\nCourse content\n\n\n\n\n\nSection 1 Gokyo single techniques\n\n\n\n\nSection 4 Kaeshi-waza counters\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSection 2 Renzoku-waza combinations\n\n\n\n\nSection 5 Ne-waza combinations counters\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSection 3 Renraku-waza combinations\n\n\n\n\nSection 6 Kata\n\n\n\n\n\nThe number of sets covered for each section will be dependent upon the grades of the course participants.\nPlease note that you must register online via the link above.
