DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL AND NO FURTHER ENTRIES CAN BE TAKEN\nEligibility:\n\nCompetitors must be aged 6 and under 16 years old on the day of the tournament.\nMaximum grade 9th\nAll Competitors must present a valid BJA licence or a BJA affiliated association licence at the weigh-in together with proof of grade.\n\nThe event will be split into grade and weight groups to match players on the day with four players per group.\nThe aim is for all players to have three contests with medals awarded accordingly.\nGroup A – boys aged 6 to 7 years – weigh in 0830-0915\nGroup B – girls aged 6 to 7 years – weigh in 0830-0915\nGroup C – boys aged 8 to 11 years – weigh in 1000-1045\nGroup D – girls aged 8 to 11 years – weigh in 1000-1045\nGroup E – boys aged 12 to 15 years – weigh in 1200-1245\nGroup F – girls aged 12 to 15 years – weigh in 1200-1245\nAdditional Information:\n\nTechnical restrictions will apply for groups A to D\nNo armlocks and strangles are permitted\nContest times – 2 minutes groups A and B, 3 minutes all other groups\nNo Golden Score for groups A and B – referees decision will decide outcome\nGolden score for groups C to F will be 3 minutes\nCurrent BJA rules apply\nMedals will be presented throughout the day\nAll competitors must always wear suitable footwear when off the mat\nOnly matside qualified coaches with a valid card will be allowed matside\nCoaching will be allowed throughout the contests\nAll players must weigh in with T-shirt and trousers\nT-shirts will be allowed to be worn throughout the event\nVideos and photographs may be taken on the day and used in publicity\n\nIn the event of any dispute either on or off the mat, the decision of the Tournament Director will be final.\nEntry Fee:                                          £15 early bird (until 31st May) then £25\nSpectators and Car Parking:              Free\nEnter online at:  Southern Area Development Competition | Southern Area Judo (participant.co.uk) ( https://www.participant.co.uk/SouthernAreaJudo/event/SA_development_2024#/init )\nClosing Date:                                      Monday 10th June 2024\nQueries to:                                          events@sajudo.org.uk ( mailto:events@sajudo.org.uk )\n
